Monday, Sept. 4 :family-cookout

Labor Day – Enjoy a cookout with your family. Play Outdoor Games like Cornhole, Horseshoes or Have Fun Blowing Bubbles.

Tuesday, Sept. 5:

Bark in the Park– 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Mike Miller County Park. bark-in-the-park-300x300Bring your four legged friend to participate in Best Hair, Best Trick, Dog Owner Look Alike, & Costume, Best Tail Wag, Contests.
This is an annual fundraiser for Marshall County Animal Care and Control. Stop by for an evening of fun and refreshments. Funds are to help raise money for the animal shelter.
* Dr. Driskill will be providing low cost vaccinations for Dogs an Cats! $20 FOR VACCINES AND $8 FOR RABIES
* Free Microchipping for dogs and cats
* Silent Auction with lots of goodies and items for everyone.
* Free hotdogs, chips, drinks and dessert
* Pet Contests * Face painting * Cake Walk
* Animal Tales will have critters to pet
* Little Shop of Collars and Designs by Crystal will be set up.

Family Outdoors Night: Fishing and games at Clarks River Wildlife Refuge Pond father and son fishing4:00-7:00 (across from WCBL). Bait will be provided.
As part of the Annual Marshall County Family Week, Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting Family Outdoors Night on Tuesday of that special week. family fishing

There will be pole fishing, games, rock painting, and lots of fun! A limited number of fishing poles will be available for borrow, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have a lucky pole. So, grab the family for some fresh air and spend the evening with us on the refuge!
As well as the evening’s events, the Environmental Education Area offers walking/hiking trails, interpretative signs, and observation decks. Thus, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! At the Environmental Education and Recreation Area. The address is 1010 Eggner Ferry Road, Benton, KY 42025.
You are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Wednesday, Sept. 6 :

Attend Church as a Family and Community

Thursday, Sept. 7 : rock painting

Family Night at the Library – Read, Play, Create, Connect. From 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Benton, Calvert City and Hardin Branches.
Join the rock painting craze!  A rock painting station will be set up for the annual Family Night celebration. Bring your family and participate in all of the fun activities.

Friday, Sept. 8 :family movie night2

Attend a sporting event together OR…
Have Family Movie Night at Home or Calvert Drive-In.

Saturday, Sept. 9 :

What’s better than a FREE Family Fun Day? This is a great way to involve the whole family! The events allow all family members to participate no matter their age! The goal is for families to spend time with one another while enjoying the benefits of exercising to promote a healthy lifestyle. There’s a lot of fun activities. Meet local First Responders, check out the Animal Adoption Drive, Face Painting, Inflatables from Extreme Entertainment, Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo, Food, a Fire House, Four Rivers Behavioral Health alongside Marshall Co Agency for Substance Abuse Policy and KSP doing rollover demonstrations and education pieces, and much more. Everything is free excluding runs.
