The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County would like to invite all business owners and employees to an “After Hours Business Networking Event” to be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in the cafeteria of the new South Marshall Middle School at 2211 Hway 641 South. Plan to stop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. for some good old-fashion face-to-face mingling with other business folks in the community, promoting of your own business, meeting new people and building new business relationships. There will also be a students on hand to give tours of the new school to anyone who might be interested in checking out this new facility in our community.
“Just because we are a small community doesn’t mean that we necessarily know what all of our neighboring businesses do and offer, so hopefully through this event more people can learn about each other, which makes for a great opportunity to cross-market each other. That means if someone comes to you for a certain item or service that you don’t have, but you know a local business that does, then you can send them there and vice versa. You help each other out like that, so knowing what they do and offer helps accomplish this” said Chamber Director Debbie Buchanan.
Refreshments will be served in a mix and mingle casual atmosphere. “The goal is just to bring businesses together”, said Chamber Board Member Treston Smith. There is also the ability for a business to set up a display if you would like to promote your business in that way and the cost to do that is $20, or if you just want to bring brochures about your business, there will be a single table set up for that as well. Just RSVP to the Chamber at 270-527-7665 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like your own table. All guests are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards so that you can exchange them with other guests while you are there.
