American Legion Post 144 Spring Turkey Shoots
April 15, 22 and 29: American Legion Post 144 Spring Turkey Shoots will be April 15, 22 and 29 starting at 5:00 PM with reasonable rates per round and still targets used. No bull barrels or modified barrels. Chokes are allowed. Winners will receive choice of meats. First win – first pick of one of the following: country ham, picnic ham, turkey, sausage, bacon. Post fundraiser raffle is 1st Place – 870 Remington Super Magnum Shotgun. 2nd Place – 14 gun cabinet. 3rd Place – Case 3 bladed knife with bone handle. Raffle to be conducted on the last shoot on the 29th. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.
MCHS Cheerleaders renting spots for 400 Mile Yard Sale
The Marshall County High School Cheerleaders will be renting spots in the high school parking lot during the Hwy 68 – 400 Mile Yard sale on June 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Four days of rental for only $45 or $15 per day. If you would rather not be involved with the yard sale but have items to get rid of, the cheerleaders will have a booth that you can donate your items to. Lourdes providing free monthly Advance Directives seminar
May 3: Lourdes will offer a free monthly Advance Directives Seminar in the Heritage Room on the first floor of Lourdes Hospital. The seminar will be from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Advance Directives documents your wishes concerning medical treatments at the end of life. This seminar will help answer questions, clarify concerns related to Advance Directives and also help you complete your living will and have it documented in your medical records. Kentucky-Indiana Paralyzed Veterans Bass Tournament
May 5-7: BLUEGRASS BASS BASH 2017 at Kentucky Lake at Gilbertsville, Ky., on May 5th-7th. SUPPORT OUR VETERANS in any way you can. Homecoming to Celebrate 170 years

Blood Drive at Calvert City Civic Center
May 8: Calvert City Lions Club and the City of Calvert City will sponsor a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, May 8, beginning at noon and continuing until 6:00 p.m. at Calvert City Civic Center. Door prizes from local merchants will be awarded to donors and everyone is encouraged to donate blood.
Marshall Co. Football Alumni Golf Scramble
May 25: The Marshall County Football Alumni will hold a golf scramble on Thursday, May 25 at the Calvert City country Club. A meal will begin at 12:00 noon followed by the scramble beginning at 1:00 p.m. Cost is $50 per player or $200 per team and this includes the meal, entry fee, and cart. Prizes will be awarded for best 4-man team, longest drive and closest to the pin. All money raised will go towards the Marshall County Football Alumni Association.
