Youth Service Center Advisory Council Meeting
July 26: The next meeting of the Youth Service Center advisory council will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at North Marshall Middle School at 11:00. The public is invited to attend.
Baptist Health Alzheimer’s Caregiver Program
July 28: Baptist Health Paducah will host a free interactive telemedicine program for caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28, in Meeting Room A, located in Medical Park 2. The program is free, but registration is requested by July 20 at email@example.com or by phoning 859.323.2997.Phone 270.575.8370 for directions. The educational session is provided by the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. It will provide valuable information on management of behavior symptoms in dementia.
Central Elementary Kindergarten Jumpstart

Lourdes providing free monthly Advance Directives seminar
Aug. 2: Lourdes will offer a free monthly Advance Directives Seminar in the Heritage Room on the first floor of Lourdes Hospital. The seminar will be from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Advance Directives documents your wishes concerning medical treatments at the end of life. This seminar will help answer questions, clarify concerns related to Advance Directives and also help you complete your living will and have it documented in your medical records. This monthly seminar is free and open to anyone who is 18 years of age and older and will be held on the first Wednesday of the month. For more information, call 270-444-2834.
Marshall County Back to School Bash!
Aug. 5: Mark your calendars for the 2017 Back to School Bash! It will be August 5, from 9:00 – 11:00 in the Marshall County High School gymnasium. This is for Marshall County students and all students must be accompanied by an adult. There will be free school supplies, exhibitors with information for families, and health screenings and information. If you have any questions, you can call your school’s family resource or youth service center.
Grand Rivers Cruise-Ins Monthly Car Shows
August 12: Join us in Grand Rivers for the 2017 Bluegrass Productions Top Gun Car Show Series Cruise-In events. The Cruise-In events will take place at Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers the second Saturday of each month, April through September, 2017. The Cruise-Ins are open to all cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles. This is a free event with no charge to attendees or cars. All makes, models and years of any kind are welcome to join in the fun. The day will include entertainment, music and wholesome fun for the entire family. The Cruise-Ins start at 4pm and continue until 9pm. The Grand Rivers Tourism Commission is a sponsor for the events.

Farm to Fork Dinner on Benton Court Square
Aug. 12: Everyone is invited to the first ever Farm to Fork Dinner event coming up on Saturday, August 12, 6-8:30 p.m. on the Benton Kentucky Court Square. It will be a fun, entertaining, and delicious event with all foods coming from local producers AND prepared and served by MCHS Culinary Arts students! Booth space is available for local farmers and producers.
