Families Venture Out for a Night of Halloween Fun
Halloween Night in Calvert City saw a record number of costumed children and adults as the weather was just mildly chilly and perfect for a fun night at local churches, family homes and all along the Fifth Avenue Route.
The Lake News provided free treats, hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks as well as a photo opportunity for everyone. The Kiwanis Club was set up at St. Pius X Church as well as the Calvert City Fire Department providing a fun filled night in the parking lot of City Hall. The new Sawyer’s Cafe and Desserts had a pre-opening event handing out goodies to all and Pathway Baptist, Calvert City United Methodist Church and Calvert City First Baptist held their Trunk-or-Treat events and there were a number of hay rides through the night.
Calvert City is always an exciting place to be on Halloween night so start making plans for next year’s nigh of fun!
